Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Weekend skiing 31st March

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Myself and brother have booked flights to Geneva, arriving 10am on the Friday 31st, staying for 3 nights. We are both early 40s and ok on most pistes but inexperienced off. Unsure on where to go, not looking for riotious nightlife but reasonable food and ambience. Currently considering Chamonix and Flaine for reasons of geography, have spent a weekend in Chamonix before and enjoyed it, although heavy snow mean't very little visibility. What thoughts do snowHead have on where? Will probably hire a car as our flight back on the monday is stupid O'clock in the morning!! Thanks Very Happy

martyngb, Chamonix is well geared up for weekenders. Good motorway access.

martyngb, as is Flaine and the villages around it. I'd wait untill a week to go, then choose based on where the best snow is.

martyngb,

Weekend crowds would put me off Chamonix, great though it is...!!

I agree, leave it to late and if the snow is good, pick from Flaine, PDS, La Clusaz and the Chamonix valley...

martyngb, I'll be in Morzine that weekend. With a car it should be straightforward to get into the higher Avoriaz skiing quickly if need be. Should suit the rest of your criteria snowHead
