Poster: A snowHead
|
Has anyone purchased anything from these people before? Their prices are great, but everything about their website looks dodgy... Their address is in NewZealand, all the English on the website is poor, their "About Us" section says they originated in France, then if you go through to the payment page there's an option for PayPal or a bank transfer to an account in Indonesia that's not even named "Gombelsport"...
I haven't found any negative reports from Googling them, but it all feels wrong, so if anyone has used them and can say what their experience was like would be great
Cheers!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Depending what you're looking for you might want to avoid the gamble and try www.sport-conrad.com/ instead. Just did a quick compare on a random pair of skis and (assuming both are sans-binding prices) they were 384.45€ on Gombelsport.com but only 299,00 € on sport-conrad.com
I bought a pair of skis from Sport Conrad last summer and didn't have any issues.

Yes, Sport-Conrad would be my first choice, but they're sold out of the size I'm after (BC's Camox Freebird 183cm). Thanks for the tip though

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Avoid Gombel they are using the phone number for a shop I part own, which is definitely nothing to do with them, & a fake physical address.
