Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

cheap flight to Basle and where to go

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Looking for a short trip beginning of April and found some cheapish flight to Basle. Where would you recommend going from there. 3 adults and 2 9 year olds. Reasonable confident skiers, but would like a municipal swimming pool and maybe somewhere with a snow fun park if possible. and cheapish. It's an extra from our main holidays.

First time poster. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum @ronnierocket,

Most people would fly to Geneva rather than Basle.
But you'll be able to catch a train to just about anywhere in Switzerland.

I mention this as you could probably get a cheap rail tickets from the German Railway system
see advice on
https://www.seat61.com/Switzerland.htm

I'll leave it to others to advise where to go.
Loads of places.

Thanks for the welcome and the train tip. We usually do fly to Geneva but these flights seemed a good deal.

Have only skied in France up until now. Looking at places like Wengen and Engelberg but have no experience of Switzerland.

No public pool in Wengen in winter, but Mürren has one at the sports centre. Just over 3 hours from BSL on the train.
