Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Stupid Ski Hire Question

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi everyone,

Off to Vallandry in Easter and looking to book skis etc. before we go. Never had to do this myself before and was wondering what day do I put down for the first day for the ski hire. When we've been previously we've always picked up the day before we started skiing (this arranged by Peak retreats previously).

So our first day of skiing will be the Sunday, but we'll want to pick them up on the Saturday afternoon. So when booking online do I want the hire to start on the Saturday or the Sunday? And does anyone know of any codes to use?

Normally the option online is “first day of skiing” rather than start date. So always but down your first actual day of usage.

I assume most, if not all ski hire places allow items to be picked up the afternoon before the first day. Certainly been the case the last 4 times for me anyway.

For discounts, try simplytoski.co.uk, and compare their price to hiring online direct from the shop, they have the advantage that it's the same price for all levels of skis. We're probably going to order for our friends kids this year £124 for 2 children up to age 11, includes skis, boots, poles, helmets, insurance. Euro200 quote from the shop including 20% off, so a lot cheaper. Also snowbrainer .com do deals. I am fairly new to posting here, so hope it's ok to put these suggestions in a post.
