Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Leaving a van for a few days

Hi, just wondering if anyone could advise on parking my van for 4/5 days, possibly around Chamonix or close by.
My Dad and I are planning to take our Vespas on a little tour, hopefully around Cham /Aosta and ideally as far as Jungfrau area, around the end of May.
We’ll be bringing them in my Citroen Relay and need to leave it somewhere fairly safe (I use it for work) whilst we tootle about.

Argentiere just up the road from Chamonix there is a long term free car park which assorted camper vans park up for the season. It's overlooked by 100s of apartments an feels safe. It's by the grand Monet lift enter the car park from the roundabout then wind your way to the top of it. If you're lucky you might meet 83 year old Eric living in his red Transporter to park next to.
