Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Carv Ski tech - Drills any good?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi All,

I was going to spend £250-300 on a private ski lesson on my trip to Cham. I tend to do one private lesson a trip, I have also had a few lessons with InsideOut in Hemel. I am going on a 2 week trip to Cham and thought the Carv might be useful when skiing, instead of my usual private lesson.

From another thread the ski IQ/free-skiing part seems a little pointless. However, I wondered if anyone had experience of using the drills?

Are the drills worthwhile, well thought out, allow enough progression (i.e. start from suitably easy and range to hard?)

So, anyone got Carv and used the drills? Would appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks

There are several threads on the Carv already.

 Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks. There are...but not any on Owner Experience of the Drills.

@rossyl, I can't believe it's a substitute for a good private lesson!

 Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

It's definitely interesting but I think everyone is waiting to get a more concrete review of the product. Unless they don't trust their product, they should lower the product price for this forum member (or some people that can spread the word without a commercial stance) to start getting some traction. I would love to try it but it does feel like a high risk at the moment.
