Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Arlberg Ski School Lunchtime Care

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
After some advice please. We are headed to St Anton (Nasserein) with 2 kids aged 11 and 8. We have booked Arlberg Ski School for 3 days via tour operator but are a bit confused regarding lunchtime which we have definitely not paid for yet. Has anyone used Arlberg Ski School lunchtime service? Is it any good (specifically for 2 kids who don't speak German). Happy to pay the 16E but it is a bit unclear what is provided eg food/care and where this all takes place.

Kids will be skiing with us the other 3 days so we just want to ensure that their 3 days of lessons work out well having used Esprit previously with their well co-ordinated childcare.

Many thanks

They’ll go with their instructor to one of the designated restaurants and stay with them for the lunch hour. Could be at the office at Nasserein or Zentrale (by the Gampenbahn), or one of the ski school’s sections at one of the Bergbahn restaurants (Gampen, Galzig, Rendl). If it’s half term then there will be plenty of other kids there that speak English, food varies from place to place but they generally serve the same thing across the different eateries each day. Entertainment varies from place to place and the instructor.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Not Alrberg, but have done this is Switzerland at a couple of places and it was great. They took them into a hotel or mountain restaurant, a couple of instructors looked after them, got them well fed, warmed up, gloves on radiators etc rested for 2 hours and then ready to go for afternoon lessons.

Used the service at St Christoph last Easter . It took place in the hotel above the Intersport shop. No issues at all .
