Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Lucky there was a flat area below, and not a cliff, or steep drop...

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

If I could get a choice of where I want to be if an avalanche takes me, "inside a piste basher" is most likely my favourite answer.

Can't help wondering if that was planned rather than being swept away. If it WAS swept away that's one bloody cool piste basher driver, as when he gets to the bottom he just flips it around without actually coming to a stop and starts heading back up like nothing's happened!

We were in Tignes before Christmas 2017/18. There was a piste basher off the side of Fresse / Col De Fresse that looked like it had been rolled (as in red/white/blue Minis out of the back of a bus) down into the bowl. The cabin was all distorted. It was there for a few days and then vanished.

Looks like it was intentional, to me. But even so it would get the adrenalin pumping!

Sure, why use a €20 stick of dynamite to clear a cornice when you can use a €250K Pistenbully instead? If this was planned, the driver is now unemployed and his manager is now shovelling snow.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

I thought it looked odd, that turn at the bottom plus the fact that another piste basher driver was on hand to film what you think would be a rare occurrence and how lucky there was a handy bowl to stop in.
Even if it were staged, I wouldn't have done it!
