Poster: A snowHead

Lucky me. Santa brought me a new Apple Watch 4 for Christmas. Any hints about using SkiTracks app with it? Will the app automatically update my workout data on the watch? Help!!!

I used Ski tracks on a recent trip to Selva and ran the app on my apple watch series 3 and all worked fine.
You have to tick some options on installation to allow the app to write data to the health app on your phone but was not complicated.
However I find the data generated by Ski Tracks a little dry and boring. And it looks very dated.
What I really want is a tracker which can overlay my daily route onto a piste map... (maybe Ski Tracks can do it but all I see on the map function is a wiggly line showing where I went overlaid on a generic map - but not a piste map...).
Does SNOWW do a better job of that ?
I did attempt to use the Dolomiti Superski app but my god is it buggy - and kills your battery.

I think so. Here's the route map from one of my days last week...
You also get the usual data.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Anyone found an app that measures rate of climb i.e. meters per hour.

surprised people dont look at iski more
There is dedicated apps for each country. Allows you to add buddies & see who else is using the app in close proximity.
Also has a ton of other useful information for each resort inc. emergency, piste maps, weather, webcams, etc.

One thing to look out for when using Apple watches with Ski Tracks is that when using the activity tracker, if the two are linked then Ski Tracks greatly reduces the calorie count you have achieved. I’ve experienced many times days where I’ve doubled my move target in calories, but when you end and save the Ski Tracks session, the algorithm decided to reduce the move calories by a third
