Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

transfer geneva to le grand bornand

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all

The tour operator we booked the apartment with has failed to get us a transfer, and suggested a couple of shared transfer websites, altibus and bensbus, that don't seem to go to le grand bornand.
There isn't anyone out there going up that way on 29/12 late afternoon that wants to share the price of a minivan taxi?
There's 2 adults + 2 kids.

Or any ideas on how to get a private transfer?

Cheers

Have a look at this booklet, which shows lots of the shared transfers out of Geneva. There appear to be departures at 2pm and 7pm (a big gap I know!) for 37 euros single or 62 return.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks very much, flight arrives too late to get it, but thanks anyway.

Couple of suggestions for you @biatwc,

Haven't used either ourselves - we pretty much always hire a car from Geneva - Le Grand Bornand. It's a very straightforward drive if that's an option for you? Otherwise, there are various taxi companies advertised on www.legrandbornand.com

Have also just remembered our son and friends used www.alps2alps.com last season - they were brilliant. Very good communication beforehand and extremely efficient.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Train Geneva to Annecy and there's a direct bus from Annecy to Le GB. Well, there was 20 years ago when I last took that trip!

That's the way I'd go, especially if you are arriving too late for the 7 pm departure. A car might be useful in resort too, depending on where you are staying - it's quite spread out.

Is this not the tour operators problem? Just get an airport taxi and they pay?
