Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Where should we go this weekend?!

Thinking of Tignes or San Cassiano for this weekend - ski Friday to Monday or Tuesday - down to conditions and pistes/lifts being open.
Think Tignes has just had plenty of snow so hopefully most pistes and lifts will be open by Friday.
Dolomites less so but they have the best snow making facilities around, it's cold so the pistes will be great and unless it's windy the Sella Ronda will be open.

Any advice much appreciated snowHead

Please don't say anything negative about Tignes now since I have just booked it! This is because only 3 nights available in San Cassiano, and 5 in Tignes, flights are really cheap too.
Which is nice.

@simonx, Being out in Tignes I can tell you there is plenty of snow but due to the storms many lifts weren’t open but many more have opened today and others opening tomorrow, so you should be fine on Friday. You won’t suffer from lack of snow and they’ve even announced opening the gondolas from Boisses and Brevieres at the weekend.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

A hefty storm just passed by Tignes, bringing 30 or so cm of snow with it in one day, covering the entire mountain. It might be the best time to surf here, as there aren't many people yet (most of the arivals are planned for the 22nd).
Weather seem favorable for next week with the exception of sunday, when it may rain, but no wind.

And as geepee mentioned above, new lifts are opening up every passing day.
