Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anyone got any good ideas for this ??
We're arriving too late at night to (21:20) get a train.
Fallback is hiring a car but it'd be nice to do it by a bus or something similar.

There is no way but taxi - i tried every site/number I could find
Also the car hire shuts too early to hire a car...
I got a taxi to schaldming (E130) and the train back(E12 i think) - no problems.

i agree we were at schladming in january and used taxi
Get your hotel to book a local firm to pick you up cheaper than airport!!
We used steves taxis! E120 to rohrmoos (3miles past schladming)

Thanks for the inor guys .. you're right about the car hire places being shut ... i can hardly believe that you can't hire a car at night in a place the size of Salzburg.
Anyway, taxi looks nice nad cheap and train handy for the way back .. anyone know if there are any other resorts round there with train stations as we haven't decided defintley on Schaldming yet.

There's an outfit called 4 Seasons which does airport transfers around the Tirol. They offer taxis or shared transfers. We used them from Munich airport to Kitzbuhel, very efficient.
