Poster: A snowHead

Man that waz fun - very different to anything I have tried before but what an amazing floaty sensation
Saw a boarder up to his waist in the powder trying to get going again.
Need to get a hot wax done on these new skiboards - perhaps should have used Not Wax before going out.
What a buzzzz

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I was able to straightline through deep powder without the normal bunny hop look - it was amazing fun.
Amazingly the only time I fell was trying to go backwards.....
Then night time skiing was cancelled and we were knackered anyway.
So now I understand fully the skiboard expression I have seen of riding the powder by your heels.
I still have an adrenaline buzz and we finished an hour or so ago

obelix67, What kind of blades were they? Sounds a blast in powder, alas my oulde ones just sink in the soft stuff.

PG, my wife's Head Big Easy's release well. She's 8 stone and I've set (for off-piste) the DIN to 5 front 3.5 rear. Good in powder.

They are Spruce 120 14cm 10cm 14cm - salomon 509 releaseables on the spruce composite riser, they arrived 3 days after order online from skiboards.com ~( I am not related in anyway to doc or his company.
The boards are a sintered base and need waxing when they arrive, also I found the edge on delivery to be a bit dull in comparison to my salomon snowblade 99's
The release worked fine going down the moguls at Champery, havent had to use the releases yet during this week - damn I guess I know what is going to happen this afternoon.
SMALLZOOKEEPER, I will not give in to the dark side of the force, so stop it, if athleticum hadnt fkd up I would be on carvers this season - now isnt that funny.....
Depending on your size depends on what you should look at there are the summit 110's as well or the nomad 99's - the 120's fit nicely on my dakine heli pack too.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

interesting day today
Lots of snow
Visibility around 2 meters at times
Wind high
Fg freezing
Almost forgot 2 of the instructors from ES had been thinking of the Spruce or Summit longer skiboards for back packing and were very happy to see them on the mountain.

Old, traditional, the same as all those other people, normal, part of a huge clique, not different, not non standard, not me
It is funny when you get some French "person" tries to slip his skinny long things in front of you and your 14 cm width just splats them into the powder
