Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

St Anton - guided half days?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Snowheads - when we were in Val d'Isere a few years ago, our backcountry guide told me that we were doing it wrong. We had booked him for three full days and planned to ski with our wives on the off days. He said it is better to book him every morning with fresh legs, and then meet up with the wives for lunch and spend the afternoon with them. Now with a few more years under our belt, and with aging legs, I think he is right. This year our group is headed to St Anton and I've been looking at guide recs from some older posts and all I'm finding is full day offerings. Does anybody know of any guide service that is set up for morning sessions only?
Thanks in advance.

piste to powder, i skied with them this year and had the time of my life. i booked a half day private session for me and my wife. Then skied 3 full days in a group, I could have skied half day all week if i wished but the cost between just 2 of us would have been expensive and it was my wifes 1st venture off piste i wanted to really get out there.
If there was more than 2 of us(to split and reduce cost) and we wanted mornings all week theyd be happy to arrange that.

Even full days in St Anton are a bit shorter than many places. They aim to end skiing at 4.00

We have used Wolfgang for the last 3 seasons in St Anton. Cant remember company. They are in the green jackets at the bottom in the wooden hut opposite main lift. We are a group of boarders. he is very knowledgeable and a great guy.

Thanks, everybody. The guys are back to planning for full days, so we will probably use Alpine Faszination again. We skied with Werner six years ago. It was the beginning of our guided off-piste experience and he kicked us off right. I learned so much from him that day.
