Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Any idea where to buy Stockli Laser Wrt St in America or Europe on line? I’m looking for 172 cm
Would you recommend Salamon or Vist bindings?
Thank you
Joe

Hi Joe, welcome to snowHeads.

If you're in the UK/EU then get the skis in the flat from from either Glisshop or Snowleader.

They really shouldn't be flat mounted and to get the best from them you need a high performance/torsionally stiff binding on a riser plate. I'd strongly recommend the Vist Speedlock Pro Superlight plate (the lightest they do plus it allows the ski to fully flex and it doesn't add any stiffness to the ski) mounted with Vist Speedlock bindings in a din range to suit your requirments (ie, 4-12, 6-14, 8-16 and so on).

The Speedlock system also allows the fore/aft binding position to be fine tuned and the bindings can be removed in seconds for easy transportation &/or to share across another ski. And if you buy it from the right place (wink) it also costs less than other inferior makes/models. I've put this set-up on many Stockli's and it's superb.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thank you so much for your advice, I was thinking about Salamon R16 Race, but Vist Speedlock makes more sense!
I’m about 190 LB, 6.2” good skier, like the speed curving in the morning...
What Din would you recommend?
8-16?
All the best
