How have I not come across this before? Just listened to the two recent episodes and they are great! <subscribe> |
Welcome aboard Kat. Interviewing Ed Leigh from Ski Sunday tomorrow. That will probably go into E168

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@iainm, Just listened through - really good interview with Ed and a good range of topics covered. Ed's passion for the mountains and the sport really comes across. Let's hope the FIS can sort out the TV rights and we can get better coverage of freestyle and freeride events in future seasons.

What were the boots Al was talking about - not the Boa but the others? And what was great about the Salomon skis he said everyone was raving about? Lauren from POW was an excellent listen! And enjoyed Dave Burrows « tourist » snow report. He knows where to take his mates
And Ed Leigh was also a really great guest. Although he sold me a 2nd hand Salomon board a few years back which I subsequently smashed up my shoulder with. Thanks Ed!!!
Great as always hearing about Mike’s powder exploits in Hokkaido. His faceshot videos are amazing. There are also some superb resorts on the main island (Honshu) which are easy to get to on the bullet trains from Tokyo. More Alpine terrain and vertical than Hokkaido and also great snow records if perhaps not the super light blower stuff from Hokkaido.
Great work on getting inspiring guests and keeping the content fresh after 170 episodes Iain!!!

With your preference for train travel I would think a Bullet train assisted tour of Japan’s finest powder fields should be high on your priority list!

We need this for a Japan special/episode! Have all the info as we did a bullet train vv Japan special in 2019 for Fall-Line. From memory, 14 resorts in 14 days (from Honshu to Hokkaido and back) with a lot of bowing, train timetables and conductors in white gloves.
