Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Chamonix off season pass?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi dudes, I'm off to Chamonix for the first time next week at the start of the off peak season and It looks like you can't buy multi day passes online during the off season? Does anyone know if you can buy them once I get there or will I need to just buy a daily pass each day?

Cheers

Looks like it. Maybe because they’d no idea what they open when they were setting up contracts?

Weird.

Recharge on line but maybe check with a real ticket office.

We're off to Chamonix this weekend. It looks like the local lift pass is a reduced rate of 41.20 Euros a day. Also a 2 day Mont Blanc Unlimited is 100 Euros.

Yeah the daily price is cheaper but as I’m skiing for 5 days I was just hoping to not have to go to the ticket office every morning!

The prices for the spring skiing are bizarre. 3 days is 100e for Mont Blanc unlimited, I.e. 33e per day. 4 days is 190e (I.e. 90e more for the 4th day despite a day Mbu pass being 64e). 5 days is 225 and 6 is 244 so much cheaper to buy two 3 days passes... you can buy and top up online which would save the ski office visit.

The 41e daily le pass doesn’t include the midi or top of Argentiere, both of which are spectacular in spring.

@snowdave, who ever accused the CMB of rational behaviour?

@snowdave, Wow that is nonsensical Shocked I was just going to use the Le pass as this is only my second ever week of skiing so won't have much use for the Midi or the top of Argentiere. I'm very unlikely to venture off into the Glaciers but if the unlimited pass works out cheapest then I will certainly take it.

Saying that, I might try for the Black runs at the top of Argentiere towards the end of the week if conditions are good.

@The_catcher, even if you’re not going to ski the midi or top of GM it’s definitely worth doing both trips as a pedestrian, the views are spectacular and the queues should be pretty short next week.

@under a new name, agreed snowHead
