Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Getting to GVA from Bourg 13 April?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I need to leave a day earlier than the rest of my group and contemplating using the train.
Is it an easy enough journey as a solo female with an awkward ski bag to lug around?
My flight is at 17:30 and the 9:04 train from BSM gets to GVA at 14:27 with changes at Chambery and Geneva (5.5 hours!!)
The thought of the train is a bit daunting but there are not many choices of transport on a Friday (Ben's bus only Sat/Sun).
The altibus would get me to the airport 6 hours before my flight so that's not a great alternative but would it be better?

@toocold, Check whether SNCF are going to be on strike that day, they have published the dates.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Alpybus is another option - & cheaper than Altibus.

The train is a lovely, scenic journey but your skibag could be a pain - particularly lugging it onto & off trains.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

p.s.I've just had a look at Alpybus & they run only from Moutiers that day. The good news is its a 12.30 departure, so you would have plenty of time to get there from Bourg (by train). & Alpybus departs from Moutiers train station wink
