Hi
We will be in St Anton at Easter for the first time. Do you have any advice on how to maximize ski time and avoid crowds, queues etc.? I have looked at various itineraries online but would love to hear from fellow snowheads. We will certainly spend time in areas like Rendl, Albonagrat and also visit Lech and Zurs.
We are good intermediate skiers and mainly ski on piste.

Get up early. Be decisive. If you want quieter Rendl and Stuben are your best bets.

Not been for a few years but not really had queues to worry about Easter, but we were always starting in Stuben. Also bear in mind to "follow the sun" if it's frozen overnight to avoid ice in the morning and the worst of the slush in the afternoon.

Agree about starting early.
Zürs often has the best on piste conditions (dont miss out on the Madloch run down to Zug, I know it is shown as a ski route but it would simply be a red/black piste in many other places, the pretty little hamlet of Zug is almost like being in a time warp - along with a rather old lift). The best option for getting there early is the 08:40 4242 post bus from the main bus stop in St Anton (its not a ski bus, it costs €3.20) to Zürs. This gets you there before you could ever manage to using the lifts, well worth the few Euros it costs. These buses also run in the evening (about hourly) so you dont have to rush for the last lift back. If you dont want to ski to Lech there are regular ski buses between Zürs and Lech.
There is a certain amount of disagreement around here about queues for the Flexenbahn lifts, there have been occasions when there have been long queues but many other times not.
Assuming typical spring conditions it is probably best to avoid Rendl in the mornings, it can be very hard and icy better after mid morning.
Dont miss out on the Schindlerkar ski route, although it is described as a ski route it is pisted all the way, certainly a black but the snow is usually very good and not difficult to ski. The chair lift is also an interesting ride, though in good conditions there can be a queue.
Stuben has some really good pistes, not a huge number (there is a lot of off piste) but good and the long piste (it splits into a number of variants) back to Stuben is north facing so should be OK in the mornings.
Assume the pistes just above the village in St Anton & Lech will be pretty crap by early afternoon (they are south facing).

Lifts are now open 1/4 hour earlier.
Easter is not that busy nowadays (last 5-10 seasons)..folks have other choices these das Thailand , Mexico. etc.
