Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi,
I've just returned from a week in the Alps and noticed some damage to my bindings. They're Rossignol, but I'm unsure of the model as I've scrapped off all of the writing on the side through use. I think they are fairly entry level. They're mounted on 2012 Rossignol S3 skis and came together when new.
On the rear binding on one side it appears that the pivot has sheared. The other side is still intact but there is a quite a bit of
movement
. It looks like it is a rivet type fixing.
I'm wondering if there is anywhere to get replacement parts, or repair, or whether I'll need new bindings. Could anyone advise?
If I were to get new bindings, do Rossignol bindings have a standard pattern of mounting screws, or may I need to re-drill?

It's a Look NX/Rossi Axium heel. Bolt'n'locking nut & a washer or two through the pivot pin to stop it sliding out - assuming it's hollow all the way though but I don't currently have one in my shop to check. Otherwise it's a new un.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks spyderjon, I'll have to drill out the other side to see if I can get one bolt all the way through if I go with this method I think

Don't drill out a perfectly good rivet head.
As long as the pivot is hollow put the bolt through with one side over the top of the existing rivet head. It might need a thin bolt but it's not for strength, only to stop the pivot pin sliding out.
