Hi all. Went to Alpe D'uez in early Jan and loved it so have packed in my job, left my girlfriend and fiends and am heading ack out to take on the mountain again.
Struggling to find any accommodation out there as all is v. expensive or full.
Can anyone help? Do you know anyone / anywhere / anyhing.
All advice appreciated - Also there's a free beer in it if you're already out there.......

boarderjim, have you tried the Chamois (think that was the name - the one above the Underground)? They do season accommodation and may be able to help.

Arno, will give them a shot. Best price so far is 500 euros per week for shared accommodation (but only me sharing).

boarderjim, you should be able to find holiday apartments for Eur200-300ish per week (except peak weeks) I would have thought. Try some of the "Immobiliers" (ie estate agents) - they should be listed on the Alpe d'Huez website

Arno, Have tried the tourist office who say they have nothing available. Will call the immobiliers next.Thanks for your help. This is good.

Update for all. I've been offered a shared room, but with no one to share with for 500 euros a night. I've also been offered my first 3 days at Chamois then following up from mid March and have yet to get onto the estate agents.

Well all thought i'd update you.
I have rented a 4 berth appartment for 7 weeks at a reasonable cost. As things stand, I have 1 mate thinking about coming and another who is pondering coming for a week only.
This means that I can offer 2 berths for £100 per person per week.
If anyone is keen to come out for even a limited time, I have a place to stay....hurrah.
