Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Off-piste skiing Champagny-La Plagne

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I'm going to be based in Champagny from 4th-10th Feb. I gather the area is good for off-piste skiing and I'd like to learn. So far I've found this

https://www.ski-school-champagny.co.uk/adults/off-piste

and

https://www.oxygene.ski/product/la-plagne-adult-group-ski-lessons-steep-deep/.

The former could be good, although they tell me I just have to go to their offices to find out what is planned on the week - there are no dates listed at the moment. So it might be a bit limited.

The latter would be good but a bit of a hassle to get to La Plagne every morning. Oxygene tell me the course actually starts at 9:30 (even though the website says 9am) and I can get there on time by taking the cable car at 9am. OK if it works, but could be a problem if there are queues for the cable car or any other delays.

Any advice?

I'd have a word with Christophe at Reflex Ski school in La Plagne if it was me. Streets ahead of any others I've used. If he can't fit you in then use the others as back-up.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Definitely a great place for off-piste, but yeah, worth getting a guide for some of the more gnarly stuff:
