Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Personal favourites:

Olympic black over the top in Sansicario is my favourite, good long challenging run (more red than black) followed by run through the trees to the base station. chairs in Sansicario are quite fast, though you do need a longish drag back to the top.

The blue run (road?) From the far right of Sestriere to Pragelato (about half way down facing right from the top of Sestriere) - not at all challenging, but long, flattering and quite picturesque.

In good conditions the home runs from from Sportinia and top of the Clotes lift are fun, but best earlier in the day as very busy later.

Have a great time, out there again in 3 weeks

Been twice recently and a definite +1 for the Olympic black into Sansicario. Last year we also did the Gran Pista in Sauze top to bottom (I believe it isn’t always open to the bottom if snow is poor) several times and loved each go. I am probably similar standard and willl certainly return in the near future, so suspect you will love it

Sounds good, might even give the black a try too, not a billiant intermediate but will fry slide down it , increase the confidence a bit .

The Olympic is very wide so plenty of room to turn. It is steepish but not scarily so and is a pretty constant gradient. Worth a go if the snow is good and the sun out.

From memory (a few years ago now), most of the Sauze area is pretty decent, with good variation. The one downside is the chairlifts, which seemed old and very slow compared to most popular French resorts.

Although it's mainly about the hotel, you might find my original review helpful.
