Not against innovation, but IMO this vs. the tried & tested must-have kit (shovel, probe, trans, optional ABS) I think this is more likely to result in having the opposite effect that its going for.

I did buy an Avalung which I rarely wear but if I were going into hazardous country I would definitely take with me. Extends buried survival from 15 to 45 minutes. A big difference.
