Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Moutiers to Meribel transfer / taxi

Hi,

2 of us are travelling to Meribel on the direct Eurostar service. Previously a transfer has been included or we have shared with other chalet guests - neither is an option this year.

Are taxis readily available without booking? What is the general cost of these?

We arrive jan 6 and leave jan 13 on both day services. If anyone is interested in sharing a transfer, let me know.

@cardweg, thanks. Will give it a go. I’ve tried about 6 transfer companies all fully booked, except one which wants €210 return which seems expensive. The trouble of a last minute booking.

Have you tried altibus coach transfer. We did this a few years ago from right outside the station. Think it's times for the Eurostar too but I might be wrong.

Some bus information here (scroll down for Moutiers buses to Meribel): It all depends what time you arrive, there's an 0630 then quite a lot from 11am onwards.
