Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Nice smallish Swiss resorts popular with families. Villars can get busy on blue sky weekends, Leysin probably less so. You’ve Also got Les Diablerets linked to Villars with the bonus of Glacier 3000 and Gstaad not far away (and possibly on the same pass). Note that they’re all relatively low altitude (with exception of G3000) in case the temps go up
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Me too & was thinking the same. Champery has been suggested too. I went up near Gstaad yesterday (Gruyeres) & there was plenty of snow tho someone told me Gstaad area is small... Just can't decide where to go. How you getting there?

Leysin is a small ski area - the village is larger due to its history as a health resort and also presence of international school and hospitality college. The skiing is fun - a mix of different levels, though limited for advanced skiers - and views superb on a clear day, though snow reliability is not great.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

We used to go to Leysin and Villars fairly regularly. Good for a day out, and there are some nice restaurants for lunch. The run down to the bottom is the only bit that gets busy in Leysin, but it's not too bad. Definitely worth a visit.
