So, despite being on the non-existent European indemnification list, I managed to break my 11 month old bindings off my ski. Haven't walked that far in snow for a long time.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Yikes. I hope that spyderjon comments on this one. You have my sympathy - but I can envisage even worse could have happened than a long walk, in different circumstances. Mind giving the binding make and type?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

if it is 11 month. then register a complaint with them. That way if there is a warranty they may be able to administer it easier than if it was over 12 months.

Looks like a Marker Squire 11. I assume it must have failed along the adjustment track on one corner, which loaded the other three contact points, which then let go in turn.
By the fact you are still walking and talking, you were lucky. I had a pair of boots crack up a few years back, fortunately tripping up some lift stairs, otherwise it could have been really bad.

4. I used to be able to ski on one ski. Modern skis feckwd that. |
Aha! I’d wondered why I could do it as a 3-weeks teenager (late 80s) and not as a 12-weeks adult!
