Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Curgently it's the standing in a fridge burning fivers allegory as nothing is open
to go play with my season ticket . . .

You have all season 😉
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Finally, most of the resort is open with halfway decent cover. Paradise chair opened this last weekend and today was a great day out playing (but in bad weather it has to be a miserable slow trundle up the mountain
) The lack of snow this season means that as soon as any falls every powder rat within 50 miles makes a bee-line for the hill and then proceed to track most of it out in a morning but as long as you're happy with tracks there's plenty of fun to be had. The lift system is antiquated, slow and requires a fair amount of planning to use, the piste bashing is actually very good, the blacks are steep and some, very intimidating. As a local hill I'd be happy to live near it, as a resort destination, no chance. Too limited and far too expensive for what it has to offer this year. If it lived up to its reputation for epic snow and I had the will to skin or take a cat ride then maybe it might make more sense but as it has been just a resort destination this year . . . Na.
Plus the beer's that 3.2% piddle at $10 a pint

That may be end of season for Powder. After just opening the last of the resort last week and a great day out that Wed; Thursday began a major melt off and this morning was a lake of slightly crusted soupy porridge
Then a short T'storm closure, a bit more water skiing and then mountain closed and everyone's catbashered off to a waiting bus and a ride home in another T'storm. That may be it fer this year. If there's nowt new snow over the weekend I'll be back to the gym before
