Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

This is from BBC news 'Snow storm hits US Northeast'

'A major snow storm has hit US mid-Atlantic and north-east states, shutting down air travel and leaving thousands without power.
More than 2,000 flights were cancelled in the region on Sunday morning, causing chaos at airports around the country.

Meteorologists have been predicting winds of up to 50mph (80km/h). The snow storm swept the region early on Sunday, dumping 50cm (20 inches) of snow in some areas. By late morning, nearly 58cm (23 inches) of snow lay in New York's Central Park.

Whiteout conditions were reported around Philadelphia and Trenton, NJ, with northerly wind gusting to 40 mph (64 km/h).'

Keep an eye on it and it may just end up on its way over here... or rather to the alpes in a week or so

Wednesday/Thursday is looking good for a significant fall of snow, and hopefully another decent fall around Saturday/Sunday. GFS forecast for Savoie resorts seems to have climbed back up to 40-50cm over the next seven days.

Yes, it is quite a storm, thankfully our flight was out of Chicago, the nearest airport to the east coast that was still open yesterday.
