Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The new Atomic Redster Boot

If you have been waiting for the new Redster Boot they are in the shops. A word of caution the word new is exactly that, they are totally different from their previous brothers, narrower and more upright for a start; they really are a race boot to conjure with.

I'd probably like the more upright stance for off piste, might find the 92mm last a bit tight though. I found my old ones had a little too much lean for slower skiing in the forests and for short skins you walked like a Tyrannosaurus. Amazing on piste though, and way too many seasons left in them to justify upgrading. I did buy a seperate boot for off piste last year and now keep the Redsters for what they were designed to do.

The Club Sport version has the 96mm last though and looks a great piste boot.

@Scarpa, even the 92mm last has m ore space than you might think, we have had a few people trying them against the head B3 (93mm) and the Lange RP (92mm) and they all say the atomic has more toe box space.... the club sport version gives you that little extra width if you need it , but all in all it is doing well anmd is a great boot to work on

Sounds good Very Happy i have to admit, I am a big fan of the Redster, it was my only boot for everything for about 3 years. I had to go for a foam liner fit as my heels and the rear of my foot is pretty slim so a tightly fitted forefoot may really help keep your foot planted. As you say, work on it and tweak for comfort while retaining that sports car like feedback.
