Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi folks,
Large group of us heading to Ellmau this Jan. Super excited already!
Looking for recommendations for après-ski / where to hire skis etc from / good food places / best ski school....
Also, (this is a real mammy question) - where's the best supermarket as we have a toddler with special diet requirements so will need to be prepared for herself.
Many thanks

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Will you have a vehicle?
If so there are some decent sized supermarkets at St Johann.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

lots of places for apres - I did a review on here a while back. The shabeen (sp?) at the bottom of the Ellmau baby slopes is the biz.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Happy days, thanks dobby.
I'll do a search for your review. I didn't come across it earlier but maybe I just wasn't looking well enough

Dietary stuff was pretty good - we have a coeliac in the family. There's a good sized supermarket in Ellmau and the hotels and bars all seemed pretty clued up.
We really liked the Weinatelier Agnes but there's lots of choice.
Dont have any negatives about the resort and I'd definitely go back.

I loved Ellmau as a resort - nice vibe. I found some of the runs a bit tricky though. But I'm not a great skier so probs my fault! Have a nice time.
