Some of you may know I spend most of my time here in a 1 bedroom apartment I bought 2 years ago. Thinking about trying to get a bit of money in through Airb&b etc to help counter currency situation. Thinking room (bedroom) and breakfast perhaps dinner. I would be here using convertible. I'd also show people around advise on all aspects of the resort on and off the snow. Would suit single or perhaps couple sharing.
Just trying to gauge interest, views, etc at this stage.
I may rent the place out for one or two peak weeks if I'm not going to be here.
Both options are dependent on getting bathroom refurb done before winter.

Having some income in euros is very useful. I've paid for our lift passes with our French account this year. I will probably need to transfer some eventually though. Might be worth testing the water with ABB.

I would be interested for a few sneaky days away solo, not sure if having the host sleeping in the living area is ideal though for both you and your customers.

@Claude B, I would have the same misgivings about the owner sleeping in the apartment lounge. Another question, do you have a separate toilet or is it in the bathroom?

@Claude B, you already pay your local taxes, but you may also have to pay income tax if you rent it out. Probably not if you are only doing it for a few weeks, but it still needs to be declared.

Is this sort of thing not what AirBnB was originally set up for? I wouldn't be able to as I have a family in tow, but I'm sure lots do like this sort of set up. Bit like sofa surfing, but the guests are getting the bed!

Not sure for a couple but I think it would be great for a single. A ready made companion who'd show you round and give you the local view of thing would be ideal. And there are lots of single (or with non skiing partners) snowHeads who are always looking for short breaks. I presume Claude B wouldn't insist on full Sat to Sat weeks either.

Think it's a good offer for a snowhead "mate". Probably less attractive as a commercial proposition on full AirBnB.

Working out pretty well tbh. Got a  who I already know pretty well coming for 2 weeks. Another 3 weeks possible atm
5 weeks would pay all mý taxes here which would be welcome.
