Ah it's April 2006 !!!!!!! There was a time when the planning decision was hoped for in spring 2005

And SnOasis has been pressing their support for competitive snowsports in GB in recent reports, with the slopes reserved for racers from dawn to 9.30am (they'll have to be keen!)

This thing is doomed from the get go. Simply not enough population density. Indoor snow barely makes sense financially anywhere. If it did, London would surely have it by now.

And still there is NO kind of skiing at all in North Nottinghamshire or anywhere near where I live.

I had a look at the www.snoasis.co.uk website for latest news - they finally got a go-ahead in Nov '08, and in Jan '09 they were saying it would be complete in 2012. There's no more recent news than that, so I have no idea whether it is still on schedule.

HChalkley, checked their site myself the other day and as you say there doesn't seem to be much going on,i'm guessing with the current economic downturn any funding they had in place has been pulled.

I think funding is an issue, I seem to recall there is some kind of planning glitch also.
