Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I just checked my hotel booking for tomorrow (yes, I know I should have checked earlier) and found out that somehow I was booked into a hotel in Banff instead of the Deer Lodge in Lake Louise. I tried to change to the Deer Lodge but they didn''t have a suitable room for the next 2 weeks Sad

So I phoned The Post where we have stayed several times before (but were trying to save money on this trip) and they said they were not able to provide the room we wanted or indeed anything for the whole 2 weeks without changing Sad

But, I told them my name and they said "let me call you back, Mr Solarfish, I'll see if I can move some people arround!"

Got a call back half an hour later and we now have one of the split level suites for all but the last 3 nights when they will give us two rooms next to each other! Very Happy

Now I know that The Post have had many £000s from me over the years, but this really is amazing service when I called the hotel the day before we are arriving. I just hope it is not another Snowhead we have displaced Shocked Embarassed

Now, I really must get packing, this is going to be a fantastic holiday (and will make it even easier for our wedding anniversary as I was going to book a table at The Post next week anyway Wink)

richmond, I really have no idea, only the fact that the website is actually for 3 separate hotels, in three different towns and so I must have clicked on the wrong one before hitting the reservation link. The site is not the clearest I guess, but really there is no excuse, I was just lucky that they let me off the cancellation fee!
