 Poster: A snowHead

Last week some sirry pirrock rode over the back of my skis. I didn't think much of it at the time, but it seems he's removed long strips of topsheet from the top edges of the skis thus exposing the wood core.
For such long thin gashes, is epoxy resin still the best fix?

marc gledhill, does it really matter? Humbrol might have the best colour match?

Epoxy has a better compressive strength than Humbrol...plus you can file it down to the original profile afterwards

marc gledhill, epoxy will work best, you are better using the 24hr setting type than the 5 mins stuff. better still if you can get hold of a flexible version then it will last even longer. be sure to rough up the surface to create a key for the glue to grip to and make sure the area is clean and grease free.(do i sound like the instructions on the packet yet)

David Murdoch, I just thought that having the wood core exposed was bad. I'm not too bothered how they look.
