@Jonpim, whole winter was was the opposite, so don't complain when we finally get at least some snow... even if it's end of winter and most of lifts are already closed

-21 at the top of Cervinia yesterday with a 45kph wind! Never worn so many layers and had so many hot chocolate stops. Most of the pistes were hard and icy and you'd need to book a dental appointment before heading off piste.

Good snow dumps and low temps in late April, probably into early May, for at least the second season running. I wonder if a few higher resorts that hold snow well might think about staying open a week longer next year? Or does the cost of running resorts mean it's not worth it?
I skied well down the mountains at L2A with fresh snow on 11 May in early 90s. Why not now?
