Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi,

Ive broken the brake on one of my bindings, just wondering if I need to get a pro to fix this or if I can just order one and do it myself?

The bindings are marker free tens

Thanks

@medlington, They appear to be a replacement part, so should be a screwdriver job to change. But you need to make sure it is just the brake that is damaged and not anything else on the binding.

The 100mm brake is available here for £30:

Cheers,

I might just take them in for a service too and get the shop to check if anything else has broken.

I had an accident last year and had forgot Id broke the bindings as well as doing my knee in, only realised when I tried to tie the bindings up to go in my bag and realised that piece was missing from one.

I have just skied on them for 2 days so hopefully theres nothing else broken with them but best to check before I do anything too stressful to them.

From the photo looks similar to the Griffon/Jester brake so just 2 screws and they are off and replace Smile

no, I broke them last year, not in just 2 days, prob had about 4 or 5 weeks on them first although i realise that still isnt that much.

I had a bad fall spinning off the end of a box and had the bindings set too tight for that kind of thing so I think they snapped before they released. They did their best to take my knee out with them.
