Solano worked in a kitchen for 3 years to save enough money to fund his world cup dreams. He trained on rollerskis on the mean streets of Caracas. He blaims the French for being so bad, not because he trained with the ESF but because them booting him out meant he didn't get to train on snow a month before the World Championships and turned up "woefully unprepared".
