Hi all,
Just back from an amazing week in Montgenevre and considering a trip towards the end of the season.
A few ideas of where to aim for would be very handy. Basically, we are a couple (no children) who are still improving intermediates. Love challenging blues and exciting reds. Did our first ever black runs last week so getting along nicely. Huge apres isn't a massive concern for us. More than happy in a bar for a few drinks rather than clubbing it.
Any suggestions to kinda match the above and will be snow sure (or as close as possible all things considered with the start of the season!). We won't be booking till later anyway so hopefully will have a better idea of where the snow is by then anyway.

@Fridge03, hi, any preferred countries, or are you flexible? Want to avoid expensive places or not too bothered? Any preferences for travel and accommodation, eg fly/transfer/hotel/meal package... or drive/apartment/self cater, etc?
Should be good availability for late booking end of March, very early April.

If you like long tree-lined runs, Schladming may be an option. Good snow, north facing, good value, excellent lift system, relatively quiet pistes and plenty of fast reds, with a few blacks dotted around when you're feeling more confident. Short, easy transfers on the train from Salzburg. The only drawbacks I can remember are that the scenery can be a bit samey.

Really flexible, don't mind which country. Happy with self catering or B&B/catered, driving or flying. Just really keen to get out somewhere again! Ideally the cheaper the better.
Post-holiday blues....haha.

You might well be spoiled for choice if snow cover is reasonable all over. But best to leave it till last minute to book - in France low season prices start 4 March, once the French school holidays are over.

@Fridge03, with that much flexibility I'd say +1 for @pam w, suggestion for last minute booking. Just check snow conditions and forecast about a week before you depart.

+2 for the EosB but get in quick as I think there aren't many places left.

For challenging blues and exciting reds, 3 Valleys difficult to match. Relatively expensive but often good late deals and usually great snow.
Evasion Mont Blanc another good area IMO. Attractive towns, great range of intermediate skiing, stunning scenery. Lower altitude than 3V so best to be sure of conditions late season.
Les Arcs (Paradiski) also for piste cruising.
Outside of France, Obergurgl, Ischgl, Verbier and Zermatt usually good late season.
You could have a very long list of possibilities!

+1 for 3 Valleys. We got a really cheap deal in an Inghams chalet hotel right at the lifts at Courchevel 1850 last year. It was last week of the season the snow was fantastic and we had the whole place to ourselves. Also just back from Les Arcs 2000 where the hotel manager was telling us that they could have been open into June last year. Good place for intermediate to advanced and a bit cheaper than some of the other big high French ski resorts.
