When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Salomon Bindings

Hi All

More of a general question really - I have Salomon XT12 bindings mounted on my skis. Bindings work on what I believe is the Smartrack system. Are there any other Salomon toe and heel pieces that fit the same Smartrack base as the XT12 bindings?

@Griggs, I have had 914's and z12 salomon bindings on a smartrak base in the past. The z12's had a very flexy toe, but seemed to work ok

Many thanks for the reply. Just one more question, do you happen to know why it seems impossible to buy XT12 bindings on their own without buying them in a package? They seem to be being fitted to numerous Salomon skis at the moment but for the life of me I can't find anywhere that sells just the binding on its own.
