Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Kaltenbach and mayrhofen

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi everyone,

After reading almost every single thread in this forum, I have some questions:

My husband and I will be staying at the outskirt of mayerhofen on March 11-18.
This will be our 3rd week skiing (in saalbach and Les arcs) and I have decided I want to ski mainly in kaltenbach, so-
I'm looking for a good ski school in kaltenbach, a private guide would be good but I might go for group lessons if the group's are small.
Does anyone have any good experience with a ski school in Kaltenbach? What about equipment hire? I read here good reviews about Luigi's, do you know of a place around Kaltenbach?
About accomodation-

I booked a place in a 10 min walking distance from central mayrhofen, because we love eating out at nights and I think it will be nice to not take the care in the evenings.
I can cancel it until February 9, do you think it would be too early to know the snow conditions? I was hoping to book accommodation only last minute when I see how the snow is, but this place seemed great so I booked it.
If anyone can recommend a b&b around Kaltenbach with good breakfast for about 500 euros a week that would be great! Otherwise I have the link to zilertal accommodation.

Do you think I should book restaurant tables ahead?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@michald, The linked Kaltenbach/Hochfugen ski area is excellent and I've been there many times. SaraJ is an instructor based in Hochfugen and I see that she has sent you a PM. If you're looking for accommodation in or near Kaltenbach then I've stayed at the Hotel Alpina in the adjacent village of Ried. The ski bus to Kaltenbach stops right outside the hotel and it has a nice wellness and spa facility. I'm not sure if they do a B&B rate or only half board, the evening meals on half board were very good however.

Thank you @Sara you are the best!
@Alstair Pink, thanks, I saw you recommended this hotel a few days ago but they are fully booked.
Any thoughts about the need to book ahead in restaurants?
