Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Calais telepeage office?

Apologies for posting here, but I am about to set off to France in this wonderful weather, and have just realised that my tag/doofer has probably run out of battery.
Is the first office at the St Omer toll, and do they just swap it for a new one? Can anyone confirm that there is a Sanef office on the other side of the road there?
Many thanks at such short notice...at least it's SNOWING!

Nearest office I could find actually on the motorway was at Reims. once I found it (in the service depot) the swap was quite straight forward with English speaking staff.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Is there some way to test for a flat battery before departure? My tag is 7 years old and was fine last year!

If it's 6 or 7 years old it will flag as due replacement in your sanef online account. Log in and your can click the button to send the old one back and get a replacement. I noticed it the other day when logging in to check tolls from our NY trip. I've not had to use the replacement service yet though as ours is only a few years old.

You can hand the doofer in at a manned booth and they charge the toll by scanning the bar code on it. (afaik only a main office can change it.
