Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Driving to Alps on a Sunday - 2nd Half term week?

Looking at driving to Three Valleys or Paradiski for 2nd UK half term week - 18th/19th Feb.
Would driving on Sunday 19th be significantly better than the Saturday?

We regularly drive - and I know that Sunday driving is always quieter than a Saturday - but we have never been mad enough to attempt it during busy times!
Any thoughts appreciated?

I normally get the majority of the drive out the way overnight on the Friday, arriving in resort by lunchtime the Saturday.

However, while driving home on the Saturday, the traffic going down seems heavy and constant.

Never driven it on a Sunday but would expect it to be quieter.

How about leaving UK late Saturday and either stopping in Northern France of driving through the night?

Sunday is hugely quieter. The vast bulk of commercial lets and packages are for saturday changeover.

We have our own apartment and avoid saturdays and the roads bear no comparison.

Hi - thanks for replies - we are so close to the tunnel we always drive in one day. Sunday during a busy time definitely seems more favourable than driving on a Saturday - which just means I need to find a chalet - somewhere, anywhere - that does Sunday to Sunday during one of the busiest weeks! - Ahh - no problem!
