Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi I am looking for a ski carrier for 3 pairs of skis and was wondering if any one could give some pointers. Also travelling by BA and would like to know what they are like taking one bag with three skis.

Many thanks in advance.

Dakine rollers are probably the best for quality and versatility.
With BA it depends what ticket you have bought. If you are standard (in not hand luggage only) you are permitted to take a ski bag instead of a suitcase providing it's less than 23kg. I usually fill up my double ski bag with clothes ski boots helmet and take 2 pieces of permitted hand luggage but if you are taking 3 sets of skis you won't have much weight left and may need to take an extra piece of luggage. It all depends what type of ticket you've got and where from and to by our will probably have to look on BA tncs

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Sallymccowan, As long as you use a decent ski bag, by which I mean structurally sound, with handles, BA don't mind what you put in the bag. I've flown loads of times with 3 pairs of skis in one bag.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
