An excellent guess too, it is Taos, and we were lucky their best snow in 30 years, and one of the biggest storms a couple of days before we arrived.

Yes , those chalets belong to this little settlement named Colle Bercia. This is in the Italian side of Montegenevré (monts de la lune) so I guess Claviere/Cesana Torinese (Via Lattea) is good enough. @Spazbaggio, The pointy thing is called Pic de Rochebrune
