Here goes, this isn't my picture and the lift has been replaced by a bigger and better one.
I skied this slope hundreds of times before they 'ruined' the top of it, I'd be interested to hear what people think of it now compared to how it was 30 years ago.
EDIT: it's probably easier if you can see the photo!

The photo was/is visible to me, shows an old 2-man chair going over the shoulder of a hill... Nothing much else to identify it, unless you recognise the hut at the top

@RobJsy, I'll take that, although it's in the background of the second shot, the first slope and the closest slope in the second shot is Grand Conche, which was my favorite slope, but I believe they have 'ruined' the top by bulldozing it so and now it seems like it's mainly a blue down 
BTW I have never skied the new layout is it still possible to ski it as a longish black mogul field?

Looks familiar but I can't remember where. Is there a shortish small chair that runs parallel with the electricity cable in the foreground and about 50m away from it to the right of the photo?

Yaay! A long time since I caught that lift! Can't remember any others that go that high and then start to descend.
It was one of my best holidays. We had good conditions that year, and there was so much powder on piste.
Towards the end of the week it looked like another blizzard outside, so we decided to lie in, but the TO ski guide knocked on the door and persuaded us to brave it.
We broke above the clouds while ascending the Roche de Mio and the conditions at the top were sublime. Our TO was a tiny company called 'Tracer' - anyone remember them?
I haven't got a photo to hand. Someone else like to step in...
