Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

often easier to organise for yourself - depending on time of year and preferred mode of transport - where did you want to go?

Anywhere that is snow sure. Looking at last week in January. I know there's not a lot of snow knocking around at the minute but I also know things can change quickly

@Rafared, Iglu, Skiweekend, Mountain Sun to name a few. There's lots to choose from if you want someone to organise it. We normally do DIY (EasyJet for flights, Owners direct for accommodation and a hire car).

@Rafared, DIY means you have possibly more flexibility to book flights at good price now and decide on destination (accommodation permitting) the night before you leave.

Geneva typically well timed for ski-maximising weekends from many UK airports. Tarentaise looking OK right now, or Aoste.

Choose a couple of resorts that you like and make an enquiry to the Tourist Office, then when you have some likely dates, look at flights. Try a package as well, but self-organising is worth exploring. I'd do the flights after the accomodation, and be flexible about Wed/Thu arrival and Mon/Tues departure. In our village, the TO covers the main agencies plus have a fair number of owners aren't on any agency books (because of the big % they take). Also consider transfer by public transport as well as car hire - there are some resorts that are feasible by train/télécabine as well.

We just did a long weekend (Thurs afternoon to Sun eve) with igoski in Chamonix. Transfer and half board in a excellent hotel included. Because of the conditions we hired a car (not a bad shout in Cham anyway) and spent a day each in Verbier and Courmayeur. Probably the most enjoyable (and knakering) short break we've ever done having been with Skiweekends a few times and DIY'd quite a few more.
