For my 74 year old stepdad's Christmas pressie, I said I'd get him a tandem paragliding flight while were in Morzine next month.
Has anyone done this and who did you use ?

Done it in the summer. Lots of choice of schools. Can't remember the name of the place we used but as I recall there were lots very near the Pleney lift. Well worth it.

I'm learning to paraglide. A tandem passenger is going to form part of the landing carriage and needs to be able to run on landing and take-off, especially if the wind is light. I'm not saying a 74 year old couldn't do it but it is worth thinking about.
Insurance is also worth considering. Specialised paragliding insurance is around double the cost of ski insurance and my usual ski insurer (Snowcard) won't cover paragliding at all. I don't think accidents involving Tandems are common but they do happen.

No running involved in most cases. Both take off and landing will be done on skis.

@TQA,
Sorry but total crap. Not in Morzine. I fly paragliders here, a lot. All the tandem operators are good, and take people of all ages, however, your father will be expected to run, particularly on take off because the wind is often very light. This is especially so with are prevalent high pressure conditions. Fine if he's fit but what about he he falls over?
