Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Brunch in Val D?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I'm meeting some friends in Val D and they want Brunch at 11am rather than lunch at midday as they have a ski lessons at 1:30pm.

Can anyone recommend anywhere to go please? We want somewhere decent, when it was lunch we were planning to meet at the Fruitere next to Folie.

It can be up the mountain or in the village, not bothered.

Thanks

I'm a fan of the marmottes restaurant that is at the bottom of val snowpark/ slalom run. Places in the town probably wont be very busy at 11am if you are looking for a bit of atmosphere.

Thanks guys, I was looking for somewhere a little more high end. However the Tipi Bar suggestion has reminded me that there is a decent restaurant opposite there, just need to check opening times.

My favourite is La Peau de Vache. It's halfway down La Face black run and does the most EPIC burgers, as well as loads of other gorgeous food. However it's so good, you need to book.

Ranked #1 on Trip Advisor: https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g187271-d3970912-Reviews-La_Peau_de_Vache-Val_d_Isere_Savoie_Auvergne_Rhone_Alpes.html

Or if you want to push the boat out a bit more try Le Signal at Fornet.

@trainee snowboard jedi, No, that is La Rosée Blanche the one with top croque monsieur (Yan and his Mum have even caught onto the phrase "Its Croq o'clock"). The Barillon is the restaurant underneath.

The Triffolet is half way between The Folie and La Daille, big chalet style place with a balcony overlooking the OK Orange course.

Fruitiere, La Peau de Vache or Triffolet are excellent choices, for the area you are looking at.

Edelweiss above Le Fornet is my favourite place on the hill, but that's a bit further away from the town.
