Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Helmets with visors

Apologies if this has been done to death already - I did search, but didn't find much.

Junior OTS1 (13 - good intermediate) wants a helmet with a built in visor. I'm not convinced they are a great idea as once the visor gets damaged the helmet is effectively toast. He's a clumsy bug so likely to bash the visor whilst carrying or storing it.

BUT, I'm willing to be persuaded if folk think they are worth the risk.

Whaddya think?

Replacement visors are available or the helmet will work with goggles. snowHead

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Visors are replaceable. My Bolle helmet came supplied with 2 interchangeable visors - one dark for sunny days and one yellow tinted one for flatter light conditions. Takes less than a minute to swap them over. Madeye-Smiley

I don't know about kids' setups, but the likes of Bolle (Backline Visor) and Sinner (Crystal) have interchangeable visors.

Edit. Sorry, a bit late to the party.

I used one. The visors probably do need to be treated with care, especially when packing the thing. That's not hard, but you need to do it. I didn't use it more than a few days as the design I had didn't handle lots of powder very well.

Decathlon seem to be knocking them out at a price comparable to mid expense goggles.
